Welcome The ENGAGE ‘Do Your Part for Peace’ Project’s main aim is to develop a strong partnership strategy building on the people to people contacts and formal and informal networks with leading members of the Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot communities, who have demonstrated considerable success in strengthening Cypriot Civil Society in the past, and who are active advocates of the reconciliation process. |
Engage Overview:
The ENGAGE “Civic Engagement for Reconciliation” project is currently being implementing by The Management Centre and the NGO Support Centre and is being funded by the UNDP ACT Program since April 2009. The overall aim of the project is to strengthen the capacity of Civil Society and to provide a vehicle for citizens to play a role in the reconciliation process.
Small Grant's Programme:
The ENGAGE Small Grant's Programme is aiming to provide financial and other types of assistance to Civil Society Organizations, platforms, networks and civil society initiatives for activities and projects which contribute to peace and reconciliation in Cyprus. The programme is open to all Non Governmental Organizations, as well as; non formal groups and individuals that are already engaged in the reconciliation process or those who wish to organize a bi-communal event.
CIVICUS:
The
CIVICUS International Civil Society Index Project was previously
implemented in cooperation with the Management Centre and
Intercollege in 2005. It is now to be reformed under the scope of
the ‘ENGAGE Do Your Part For Peace’ Project which is being supported
by the UNDP-ACT and executed by The Management Centre and the NGO
Support Centre.
